South Carolina Lions MD32

See the exciting ways LIONS serve their communities.

LIONS, find information to help you serve your community better.

Learn how you can become a LION.

Lions Multiple District 32 encompasses the entire state of South Carolina. The Multiple District is divided into four sub-districts: 32-A , 32-B, 32-C , and 32-D .

South Carolina Lions do their best to put the Lion motto, "We Serve," into practice. South Carolina Lions Charitable Services (SCLCS) operates the Mobile Health Screening Unit, pictured above. This unit travels throughout the state. Sponsoring Lions clubs organize visits to their communities, and they provide volunteers to operate the unit under supervision of the SCLCS full-time operator. Visits last three days. Anyone can receive a free health screening by visiting the unit when it is in their area. The free service includes testing visual acuity, hearing, blood pressure, pulse rate, and glaucoma screening. Get more information about the
Health Screening Unit including photographs and a calendar of its scheduled visits. If you are a Lion interested in scheduling the Unit for your club, look at the schedule and email us .

South Carolina Lions provide many services to their communities. In addition to the Health Screening Unit, there are two camps for blind children operated by Lions in District 32-A (Camp Lions Den ) and District 32-B (Hilton Head Lions Clubs) (Camp Leo at Hilton Head). Lions sponsor eye research at the Storm Eye Institute (SC Lions Eye Research Center), Medical Universtiy of South Carolina (MUSC). We support the SC Lions Eye Bank and also provide free hearing aids through our Hearing Aid Bank operated by SCLCS. Annually, we participate in the International Youth Exchange providing a unique cultural experience to young people of other countries. They spend four weeks in South Carolina meeting the "friendly faces" and visiting the "beautiful places" the state has to offer. Individual Lions clubs provide free vision exams and eyeglasses in their communities as well as sponsor a wide range of community and individual services. The SC Lions Foundation (now SCLCS Foundation) was established to financially supplement Lions activities within South Carolina.
